Róisín’s Senior Infants class have been working very hard in January and February. In January, we became dentists during Aistear! We had lots of fun learning all about the role of a dentist and how to keep our teeth healthy.

Every Friday morning we take some time to practice our new cursive capital letters. Some of us choose to do this on the floor, helping to build our core muscles when writing! It is a very relaxing lesson and we thoroughly enjoy it.

In February, we learned about Length as part of our Maths lessons. We estimated and measured items in our classroom using cubes. We worked as a team, it was lots of fun. During Aistear, we have been learning about the Travel Agents and the Airport. We became builders and built airplanes, towers and houses using blocks and designed our own passports at the Arts and Crafts station!

We celebrated Friendship week last week. We designed our classroom door as part of the Door Display competition. We each chose a trait of a good friend and designed a petal to add to the class flower. Take a look at our door!

During the month of February, we learned about Africa. We designed zebras as part of our art lesson using different coloured paper. Take a look at our beautiful art!
