We have had such a busy start to Junior Infants in both classes. We have been learning lots of new things about our school, who works in our school and about our golden and yard rules. We have made lots of new friends and are learning lots about each other and our families.
We start each morning with Fine Motor skills which help us to strengthen the muscles in our hands, which will help us with our writing.
We have been working on our gross motor skills and our hand-eye co-ordination in PE. Throwing, catching and kicking the beanbags. We had lots of fun doing this and we got so good by the end.
We have been learning lots of new phonological skills such as sentence awareness, counting the number of words in a sentence using a 5 frame. We work so hard during the week its also important to give the children time on a Friday to chat and play freely with their friends during golden time.
