September in Rachael’s Junior Infants

Home / September in Rachael’s Junior Infants - October 17, 2022 , by rachael-barry

September is over and what a busy month it has been! The boys and girls in Rachael’s Junior Infants are finally settled into their new school routine & we have been working very hard.

We take part in different Gross & Fine Motor activities every day which help to strengthen our core muscles and our hand muscles. Some of the activities include building blocks, straws, play-doh, pegboards, tweezers, stickers, shapes & screws. They are very fun and we look forward to seeing which activity we have on our table each day.

In Maths, we have been learning our colours. We have also been doing lots of sorting & matching.

We do Art every Friday & we look forward to it all week long! This month’s Art was based on our Nursery Rhymes – ‘Humpty Dumpty’ & ‘Incy Wincy Spider’. We know our rhymes really well! Check out our wonderful artwork below.

We have really enjoyed our first month at school & we can’t wait to do more learning in October!
