Wow, what an excellent start to 2022 we have had in Senior Infants!
In PE, we focused on Gymnastics and practised various rolls and balances. We learned all about the work of The Dentist in SESE & everyone got a chance to share their experience of visiting the dentist during our Circle Time session. We learned the names of some of the tools that a dentist might use to check our teeth, like a mirror or an excavator!
In Art, we explored shades of blue & green by creating a Winter Tree scene using paint & coloured paper. Then, we added glitter for decoration.
In Literacy, we played a variety of games to help us to remember our Tricky Words. Our favourite was the ‘Roll & Read’ game which we played with a partner.
Finally, in SPHE, we discussed the various things that we can do to keep our bodies & teeth healthy. The children had some great ideas – drink water, exercise & get a good sleep. Each table then worked together to find healthy foods in the magazine pages to create a healthy body poster. It was great fun!
