First week back in Robert’s Senior Infants

Home / First week back in Robert’s Senior Infants - January 10, 2020 , by robertqui

We hope you all enjoyed the Winter break! We certainly hit the ground running this week in Robert’s Senior Infants.

We were creating some fruit and vegetable prints with different colours. All the children made some very artistic patterns and paintings. It was very messy but we all had great fun. Some fruit/veg we used were apples, oranges, limes, lemons and peppers.

We started the theme of Caitheamh Aimsire which means pass times or hobbies. We were doing a ciorcal comhrá (conversation circle) where some children were asking some questions about the different hobbies we have. Our new phrase was ‘An féidir leat ___? Is/Ní féidir liom’

In maths this week we learned about the number 8 and how we count up to the number 8 and back again.

We were also very lucky today in music, we were the first class to get a chance to use our new school instruments. We were practicing playing tuned/un-tuned percussion instruments softly and loudly.
