Active Week: Tuesday, Sports Day

Home / Active Week: Tuesday, Sports Day - June 12, 2019 , by active-flag

The highlight of our Active Week took place on Tuesday 11th of June. This year our sports day consisted of an infant and a senior sports day. All classes participated in stations based on a variety of sporting skills and disciplines. We had a lot of support from local sports clubs and the school community and could have not have ran our sports day without their support. We would like to thank: Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA club; Ashbourne Baseball Club; Killegland AFC; Anne O Meara, Meath Cricket Officer and our parent helpers, who supported us by running stations . Our sports day was followed by sprint finals for children from first class to sixth class.
Some pupils remarked to their teachers:
“It was the best sports day ever…” and “Can we have sports day every day?!” Well done to all staff and pupils for their fantastic effort!
