October was a very busy month for Katie’s third class. The boys and girls learned basic sewing skills – how to sew on a button, the running stitch and the back-stitch. They created beautiful pictures to display their newfound talents!
Our class took part in Maths Week this month. Everyone completed morning maths teasers, maths trails, maths eyes posters and investigated where maths is seen in everyday life!
Our history class took us to Mexico where we learned all about Dia de los Muertos, a festival which is celebrated in Mexico and in many other countries around the world. The recent movie Coco, that many of the class had seen, was based on this exciting festival. We all created our own collage to depict the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and her husband Diego.
