School Closures

The school will close for the midterm break from Monday next 2nd May until Friday 6th May. The school will re-open on Monday 9th May at the usual time of 8:15am.

The school will also close on Friday 27th May for the day to facilitate training for teachers for the new Primary Language Curriculum being introduced by the Department of Education and Skills.

Green Schools- Mask Factor

On Friday we will hold our Mask Factor Day. Children are encouraged to make masks at home by themselves or with some help from their parents.  The purpose of Mask Factor is to make everyone aware of how many products can be recycled and used again and again. Some of the children in 1st/2nd & 3rd will take part in a clean-up day for the school and use the gloves and litter pickers donated to us by Meath County Council to clean up our school and the surrounding area.

School Tours

Information in relation to school tours will be sent home in May. We try our best to keep prices to a minimum and avail of discounts where possible. The school now has an online payment system which you can avail of, we will inform you about it more in May. Payments for tours can also be made in instalments.

Active Week

The school will run our Active Week from 16th – 20th May. This week focuses on and promotes physical activity and there will be lots of events hosted in the school during that week. On Thursday 19th May we hope to have an Intercultural Sports Day and celebrate sports from around the world. If any Parent/Guardian has a suggestion of games we could introduce to the children please let us know, if any Parents/Guardians are free to help us out with these games please let us know.

This year’s sports day has been pencilled in for Wednesday 18th May – (Weather Permitting) we will confirm this date closer to the time when we are sure of the weather. Parents/guardians will be invited to join us at the end of the day from 12pm for the last few activities and awards ceremony.

Permanent Build

The new school building is well and truly underway, the roof is on, and internal walls are up. Our school is the one that is nearest to the GAA Club. We expect to move to the new school late September/early October.

Our termly newsletter will be sent out when we come back after the midterm. This newsletter will contain lots of pictures and information about what has been happening in the school over the last term.
